Cache County School District offers driver ed courses and behind-the-wheel training, serving Ridgeline High School.

  • RHS Online Self-Paced Course, Behind-the-Wheel & Road Test

    To obtain Classroom completion:

    • 30-Hour Online Driver Ed Class
    • Rail Safety Training completion
    • Attend Zero Fatalities Parent Night
    • Please make sure Mr. Gittins (rich.gittins@ccsdut.org) has record of all three, before going to DLD and trying to obtain a Driver License.

    To obtain Behind the Wheel Completion:

    • 2 Hours Range Drive
    • 4 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training
    • 5 Hours of In-Car Observation
    • Completion of StreetSmarts (online simulator)
    • Please make sure that your Driving Instructor has entered your Behind the Wheel Completion, before going to DLD and trying to obtain a Driver License.

    Online driver's education is an alternative to in-class instruction. Driving will continue to be conducted with a Ridgeline Instructor. The cost covers all components required by the State of Utah to obtain a driver's license.   Students MUST complete the 30 hour AAA course, before being assigned a Driving Instructor at the beginning of the FOLLOWING  Trimester, in which they complete the course.

  • RHS Behind-the-Wheel ONLY Package

    ONLY enroll in this package if you have previously completed the online course and have your Learner's Permit.  Email rich.gittins@ccsdut.org for approval of completed course (not all courses that people have taken are approved), to get started.  To earn a Behind the Wheel Completion, each student must complete the following, before doing a Road Skills Test:

    • 4 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Training
    • 5 Hours of In-Car Observation
    • 2 Hours of Range Driving
    • 4 hours of Online Simulation (StreetSmarts)

    All students are required to have their permit prior to registering.  If you do not have your permit, please obtain it first and then register.  (Logan, UT DLD)  If you register with false information you may be removed from the class at the instructor's discretion.
